PostHeaderIcon Our Christmas Day

This was how I prepared for the coming holiday. One week before  Christmas we already bought all the groceries and ingredients  we will use. A day before we had prepared and cooked all the meals we will serve on Christmas day and refrigerated them including the desserts, so on the actual day we just heated all that need to be serve hot, that way we were not pressed with time when guests started arriving, coz we had to go to church in the morning and the guests will arrive at noon for lunch.

This is the traditional menu we had for our Noche Buena or Christmas Eve (midnight) feast. Hot choco ( I always use Hershey’s), spaghetti, ham, hotdog, quezo de bola,  cake (because it is my birthday too :) ) and with fruits on the side. Then on Christmas morning we all went to church and heard mass. At noon we had some guests and partake at the food we had prepared like steamed Tilapia, Beef caldereta, Fried Chicken, spaghetti, iced tea and for desserts, we had leche plan, fruit salad, cake and ice cream. All in all it was a joyous day for us with kids enjoyed opening all the gifts they had received. We also gave candies to some kids outside that said “Namamasko po” (meaning asking for Christmas gift).
