Lunch at the P&G Charity Event
Another food trip once again folks, this time from a charity event, where the big corporation Procter and Gamble Inc. whose products include Ariel laundry soap, Pantene shampoo and other leading brands in the market, donated 40 laptops to a very lucky school in Tondo, Manila. In line with their project of giving away one million laptops to deserving schools all over the country when they reach their 100th year. They also teamed up with Smart who will provide the internet connection for the laptops. And we at the PMC (Pinay Mommies Community) was invited to witness the program and also to relay the news to our online readers.
We were fetched by the service van and took us to the venue since we were not familiar with the place and quite far from where we were. The trip was long because of the traffic, it was not even rush hour, maybe there were some vehicles or RVs that broke down along the way that caused the traffic jam, they should have a readied tow truck or rv repair to avoid hassles to other people who also have business or activities to attend to. All in all, we arrived safely though a bit late and the event went on very successfully.
Pica Pica Food
Love this mini sandwich with bacon or ham, crispy on the outside and creamy in the inside. This was just one of the many pica pica food served at the Wonka Candy event courtesy of Geiser Maclang PR company. They kept on serving varieties of these pica pica food, the iced tea drink was overflowing and we all went home full and satisfied. So unlike from one event I have attended, that even though it was a cooking demo event, we were not able to taste some err most of the recipes they cooked as the food samples served were very limited considering the number of people they had invited. So the next time G. Maclang co. invited me again for another event of their client, I might even buy and wear ugg boots to the occasion.
My Italian Food Experience
Another beautiful food experience at one event I attended last Saturday. The foods were superb and the service was excellent. The place was Lemuria Restaurant in Quezon City and the event was sponsored by Off! mosquito repellant. I noticed that the food served were mostly Italian inspired (at least based on what I saw from food network, lol) the penne pasta, sausages, prostuccio with crunchy Italian bread (dunno the particular name). The food was overflowing with bottomless iced tea and delicious cupcakes. These are only some of the food served on us. I will post the others on my other food blog. Since this is a food blog, I will tackle the event details later on my main blog as promised.
Right now I’m just enjoying the food trip.
