Chili con Carne (Pepper Steak)

3 tbsp. cooking oil 2 cloves garlic minced 1/2 kilo sirloin, cut in strips 1 tsp. ginger root chopped 1 medium onion sliced thinly 3 tbsp. soy sauce 1/4 cup sugar 2 bell pepper cut in strips 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 tsp. black pepper Add Image2 tbsp cornstarch dissolve in 1/2 cup water 1 sprig green onions chopped
Cook garlic in hot oil until until golden brown. In the same high heat, stir fry sirloin strips, ginger and onions for about 5 minutes. Add bell peppers and cook for 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and soy sauce, add sugar. Continue cooking for a few minutes, add cornstarch liquid. Stir and simmer until sauce is thickened, garnish with green onions. Serve over hot rice.
