Lengua (Ox tongue) with creamy mushroom sauce


Ox tongue (Lengua)
1/4 butter
1 medium size onion chopped
garlic minced
1 can mushroom buttons sliced
1 can cream of mushroom
1 bell pepper slice thinly
salt and pepper to taste


Cook ox tongue till tender (cooking will take about 3 to 3 1/2 hours) drain and scrape the white skin, then slice half inch thick each
In a saucepan, saute garlic, onion and bell pepper with butter
Add the sliced ox tongue (Lengua), add 1 cup of water, simmer for a while.
Add mushrooms and mushroom sauce, simmer until creamy then add salt and pepper to taste.
